The Social Responsibility Unit of the Department of Environmental Affairs and Tourism (DEAT) required a review of the current status of the Tshani and Mankosi Fishing and Aquaculture project - a community-based aquaculture project based on the harvesting and culture of oysters and crayfish - and an investigation into the potential to revitalise the project.
